These Terms of Service govern your use of the website at cccomponents.lol and your purchase of goods and services from Coyon AquaTech Limited, a company with its operating address at 12/F Elite Centre, 22 Hung To Rd, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK). By using the website, sending an enquiry, placing an order or booking a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.
We have tried to write these terms in plain English. They are detailed because a supply business needs clear rules about orders, delivery, returns and the limits of the advice we give. If anything is unclear, write to request@cccomponents.lol before you order and we will explain it.
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Coyon AquaTech Limited. They apply to every visit to the website, every message you send us and every order you place, whether the order is placed by email, by telephone or through a form on the site. They also apply to the advisory services described on the services page, including restock order sittings, water parameter windows and probe calibration reviews.
Where you place an order on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these terms. In that case, references to you include the business, and the business is responsible for payment and performance.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. A failure by us to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
2. Definitions
In these terms, the following words carry the meanings given below. The definitions are intended to make the document easier to follow and do not change the ordinary meaning of words used in a related statute.
- Company means Coyon AquaTech Limited, registered in Hong Kong with its operating address at 12/F Elite Centre, 22 Hung To Rd, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK).
- Website means the pages served at cccomponents.lol and any related subdomain operated by the Company.
- Goods means the reef hardware, consumables and spare parts offered by the Company, including dosing pumps, tubing, test kits, controller boards and probes.
- Services means the advisory and planning activities described on the services page, together with any inspection work carried out at the bench.
- Order means a request by you to buy Goods or Services that the Company accepts.
- Business day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Hong Kong.
- Writing includes email sent to request@cccomponents.lol.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least eighteen years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order. The website is intended for adults and for businesses. Where a family keeps a marine system, the adult who places the order is responsible for the transaction.
The website does not currently require an account. You may order as a guest by email or through the contact form. If an account facility is introduced, you will be responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account until you tell us that it has been compromised.
Some destinations restrict the import of certain liquids or electronic items. It is your responsibility to check that Goods may lawfully be imported into your country and to pay any duty, tax or clearance fee that applies. We will help where we can, but we cannot override a local restriction.
4. Use of the website
The website is provided as an information and enquiry channel. We aim to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting faults and updates may make a page unavailable for a period.
Information on the website about compatibility, dosing, testing and calibration is general in nature. It is written to help a reader make a sensible decision, not to replace the instructions supplied with a product. Always read the manufacturer documentation before installing or operating hardware, particularly where mains electricity or water are involved.
You may print or save a page for your own reference. You may not scrape the website at a rate that interferes with its availability, republish substantial parts of it as your own content, or use it to train a commercial model without written permission.
5. Orders and order acceptance
An enquiry or a message sent through the website is not an order. It is an invitation for us to quote. A contract is formed only when the Company confirms acceptance in writing, usually by sending an order confirmation that lists the Goods, the price, the delivery address and the estimated dispatch date.
We may decline an order where a part is not available, where the stated model family does not match the Goods requested, where the destination is restricted, where there is reason to suspect fraud, or where the price was clearly displayed in error. If we decline an order after payment, we will refund the amount received in full.
Where a buyer supplies a part number, the buyer is responsible for the accuracy of that number. We check compatibility as a courtesy, and we will raise a concern when the number appears to conflict with the described equipment. A buyer who proceeds despite a concern does so at the buyer own risk.
Changes to an order are possible until dispatch. Once a parcel has left the bench, a change may require a return and a new order, and the return conditions in section eight will apply.
6. Pricing and payment
Prices are quoted in the currency stated in the quotation, which is ordinarily United States dollars or Hong Kong dollars. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude delivery, insurance, duty and any local tax. Delivery cost is quoted separately before an order is accepted.
We may correct a pricing error before acceptance. If an error is discovered after acceptance but before dispatch, we will contact you with the correct price and you may cancel the order for a full refund. We will not quietly increase an agreed price after acceptance.
Payment terms are stated in the quotation. For new customers we ordinarily require payment before dispatch. For established trade customers an invoice may be issued on agreed terms, and overdue amounts may attract interest at a reasonable commercial rate and may result in the suspension of further supply.
You are responsible for any bank charge, currency conversion cost or intermediary fee that arises from your chosen payment method. We are not responsible for a delay caused by a payment that has not cleared.
7. Delivery and risk
Delivery estimates are given in good faith and are based on the stock position and the carrier schedule at the time of quotation. A delay caused by a carrier, a customs inspection, severe weather or another event outside our control does not entitle you to cancel an order that has already been dispatched, though we will help you track the parcel and resolve the problem.
Risk in the Goods passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the address you supplied, or when it is collected from a carrier point in accordance with the delivery method chosen. Title in the Goods passes when payment has been received in full.
Please inspect a parcel on arrival and report visible damage within three business days. Where a parcel is lost in transit, we will open a carrier investigation and, where the carrier confirms loss, replace or refund the affected Goods in accordance with section eight.
8. Returns, refunds and warranty
We want the hardware to work. If an item is faulty on arrival, or develops a fault within its stated warranty period, contact request@cccomponents.lol with the order reference and a description of the problem. We will arrange a repair, a replacement or a refund according to the circumstances and the applicable law.
Consumables such as opened reagent kits, cut lengths of dosing tubing and used calibration solution cannot normally be returned for hygiene and stability reasons, unless they are faulty. Sealed consumables may be returned within fourteen days of delivery if the packaging is intact and the item is resalable.
A return that is not caused by a fault may attract a restocking charge to cover inspection and repacking. Any restocking charge will be disclosed before the return is approved. Return postage for a non faulty return is your responsibility.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, operation outside the manufacturer specification, immersion of a part not rated for immersion, salt creep inside a non sealed enclosure, or ordinary wear of consumable parts such as tubing and probe membranes. These exclusions reflect how reef hardware fails in practice and are not an attempt to avoid responsibility for genuine defects.
9. Advisory services
The Services described on the services page are advisory and planning activities. A restock order sitting produces a recommended list and a lead time estimate. A water parameter window produces guidance on target ranges and on how to measure them. A probe calibration review produces an assessment of probe condition and a suggested replacement where needed.
These Services depend on information you provide. If the description of the tank, the schedule or the hardware is incomplete or inaccurate, the advice will be less reliable. We will ask questions where the picture is unclear, and we will say so when we are not certain.
Advisory Services do not include physical maintenance of your system, and they do not replace the judgement of a qualified technician or a veterinarian where animal health is concerned. You remain responsible for the operation of your aquarium and for any decision you take after receiving advice.
10. Hardware safety and marine use
Reef hardware combines mains electricity, salt water and living animals, and every one of those elements demands care. Install equipment in accordance with the manufacturer instructions. Use a residual current device where the installation requires it. Keep power supplies and controllers away from splash zones. Never work on a powered device with wet hands.
Dosing pumps deliver concentrated solutions. Store reagents out of reach of children and animals, and label every reservoir clearly. Calibration solutions and test reagents are not food and must not be consumed. Dispose of used reagents in accordance with local rules and the manufacturer guidance.
A marine system is a living environment. Changes to chemistry should be made slowly, and a sudden correction based on a single reading can do more harm than the original problem. Our advice will always favour a measured approach.
11. Intellectual property
The text, layout, code and visual design of this website belong to the Company or are used with permission. The Company name, the logo treatment and the service names used on the site are identifiers of the business. You may not use them in a way that suggests a relationship or endorsement that does not exist.
Manufacturer names and part numbers are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners. Where a product is supplied in its original packaging, the manufacturer terms may also apply to that product.
If you send us a photograph, a drawing or a description for the purpose of an enquiry, you keep ownership of it and you grant us permission to use it for the purpose of answering the enquiry and fulfilling an order. We will not publish your material for marketing without written permission.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the website or the communication channels connected with it. In particular, you agree not to send unlawful, threatening or deliberately misleading messages, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, and not to introduce malicious code through a form or an attachment.
You agree not to impersonate another person or organisation, and not to use our contact details to send unsolicited advertising. We may block a sender or a network address where there is evidence of abuse, and we may report serious abuse to the relevant authority.
Where an enquiry involves a hazardous material, a restricted good or a legal restriction, you agree to describe the matter honestly so that we can respond appropriately. A shipment that is misdescribed can create a safety risk and a legal problem for everyone involved.
13. Third party products and links
Some Goods are manufactured by third parties and supplied by us in their original packaging. In that case the manufacturer warranty and instructions apply alongside these terms. Where the two conflict on a technical matter, the manufacturer documentation governs the safe operation of the product.
Links on the website to a manufacturer page, a carrier tracking page or a reference article are provided for convenience. We do not control those pages and we are not responsible for their content or availability. A link does not imply that we endorse every statement on the destination page.
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the following limits apply.
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website, the Goods or the Services. Our total liability for a claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for the Goods or Services to which the claim relates.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to livestock, coral or other living organisms, or for losses caused by a failure in equipment that has been modified, incorrectly installed or operated outside its specification. Living systems are complex, and a supplier cannot guarantee an outcome in a tank the supplier does not control.
Where the law of your jurisdiction does not allow a particular limitation, that limitation does not apply to you, and the remaining limitations continue in force.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the Company against reasonable losses, costs and expenses that arise from your breach of these terms, from your misuse of the website, or from a claim by a third party caused by information or material you supplied to us that you did not have the right to supply.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by the Company own negligence or breach. It is intended to cover the situation where a buyer supplies material that infringes another person rights or misdescribes a shipment in a way that creates a liability for the Company.
16. Force majeure
The Company is not liable for a failure or delay caused by an event outside its reasonable control. Such events include severe weather, typhoon, flood, fire, epidemic, industrial action, failure of a public utility, a carrier strike, a customs hold, a change in law and a failure of a supplier that could not reasonably have been foreseen.
Where a force majeure event continues for more than thirty days, either party may cancel the affected order. If the order is cancelled, the Company will refund any amount paid for Goods that have not been dispatched, and the parties will have no further claim in respect of that order.
17. Privacy and data
The Company processes personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on this website. The Privacy Policy explains what is collected, why it is used and how long it is kept, and it forms part of the overall agreement between you and the Company.
In the event of a conflict between these terms and the Privacy Policy on a question about personal information, the Privacy Policy governs that question. On questions about orders, delivery, returns or liability, these terms govern.
18. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the website or to a supply relationship where these terms are seriously breached, where payment remains overdue after a reasonable reminder, or where continuing the relationship would create a legal or safety risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will explain the reason.
You may stop using the website at any time and may cancel an order before dispatch by writing to request@cccomponents.lol. Cancellation after dispatch is handled as a return under section eight.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on intellectual property, liability, indemnity and governing law, continue to apply after the relationship ends.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over a dispute arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory rule of the jurisdiction in which you live that gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Before starting formal proceedings, we ask that you raise the matter with us in writing so that we can try to resolve it directly. Many problems are resolved quickly once the relevant order reference and a photograph are in hand. We will engage in good faith and respond within a reasonable period.
If a dispute concerns a consumer protection rule in your country, nothing in this section removes a right that the rule gives you. We aim to apply the higher standard where the two frameworks differ.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect a change in the business, the law or the way the website operates. The date at the top of the page shows when the current version was published. A change does not usually affect an order that was accepted before the change, unless the law requires otherwise.
Where a change is significant, we will draw attention to it on the website or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the website after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms, and you are always free to ask for a copy of the version that applied to an earlier order.
21. Contact
Questions about these terms should be sent to request@cccomponents.lol or raised by telephone on +16069344807 during business hours. Please include an order reference where the question concerns a specific transaction, so that we can locate the relevant record quickly.
